The artist
He was born in Milos in 1950. From 1972 to 1979 he studied freely with the teachers Charalambos Daradimos, sculptor, Anastasios Rigas, painter and Giorgos Bournazakis, painter. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts from 1980 to 1986 under the teachers Dimitris Mytaras, Lefteris Kanakakis, Ilias Dekoulakos and Panagiotis Metaxas. Since 1985 he lives and creates in Volos.
To date, he has held thirteen solo exhibitions in the galleries: Volos Artistic Funeral Home, F. Gallery (Athens), Psychouli Art Gallery, Gallery 4, Giorgio De Chirico Art Center, “Alli Poli” (Thessaloniki), Makrinitsa Folklore Museum, Spirer Building. From 1975 to 1999 he participated in many group exhibitions.
International participations: 5th international meeting Pleven Bulgaria (1989), international painting exhibition in Pleven Bulgaria (1989), TRIENALLE Sofia Bulgaria (1996). From 1991 to 1998, he made sets for the theater in the plays “The King of Hypsy”, “The Triumph of Love”, “Fats and Svu”, “Mother Mother Mother” and “Opera of Five”.
In 1986, he took over the organization of the curriculum at the School of Traditional Arts Ceramics – Jewelry (later School of Applied Arts – IEK) of the Municipality of Volos. He taught free drawing, chromology and basic drawing until 1995. From 1995 until today he is deputy director at the IEK of the Municipality of Volos and teaches free drawing, chromology, visual composition and
basic plan. From 1999 until 2003 he teaches visual arts I, II, III at the Department of Architectural Engineering of the University of Thessaly.
Since 2003 he lives and works in Germany and Greece at the same time.
